Port Macquarie – Coastal Walk

Next on the Port Macquarie tourist agenda was the coastal walk. It started from the town centre and followed the coast up and down the headlands and across five or six beaches. Towards the end was a coastal rainforest nature reserve with a cafe selling AWESOME smoothies, and a boardwalk through the forest. The whole coastal walk was around 8km – very recommended. AND – we saw  BRUSH TURKEYS – yes we did…

The downside at the end was that all the buses had stopped running – yes as every Pommie knows, public transport in Australia can be PRETTY SUCKY. So we had to walk back another 8km – WE ARE TOUGH POMMIES, we can handle it. BUT – we got to go through the Koala Hospital again, and look at the koalas AGAIN – YES!
