The Australian National Maritime Museum

Another fine museum in Sydney – The Australian National Maritime Museum is also free to get in (except for some outside ship museum parts they have – we didn’t have time to look at these anyway).

They have some permanent exhibitions, such as the ones about the discovery and exploration of Australia by various seafarers and the ones about the original Aboriginal inhabitants, and they also have various temporary ones that change from time to time – in our case we saw ‘Planet Shark’ (about sharks..) and one about all the child migrants that got shipped over here without any family many years ago.

All in all, it was really great – very interesting – and once again we ran out of time and energy and still have a fair bit left to see.
