The Great North Walk

We went on a ferry ride to Woolwich – just to be on the water – we love the ferries all round the harbour – it’s one of the best things about Sydney, and there is no Pommie equivalent I have to say.

Getting off at Woolwich, we discovered the start of the Great North Walk which goes all the way to Newcastle and is 250km long. So we walked the first stage – it was very nice – starts going through Hunters Hill, then through little bits of bush and parkland – about 8km in all.

So, we decided that we will walk the rest of it…. eventually – us Pommies need to break ourselves into these things gradually!
